SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 14

Calling upon all agencies, boards, commissions and departments
of the state of West Virginia to provide fiscal information,
including a full accounting of all moneys, locations and
sources of said moneys and their designated purposes, to the
chairman of the Senate Finance committee within twenty days
of adoption of this resolution.
Whereas, Over the past twenty-five years, in order to serve
the residents of West Virginia, the size of the state government
has increased in order to provide more governmental services to
state residents; and
Whereas, The necessity of complying with federally mandated
requirements that Congress and federal agencies impose on the
states has substantially increased the size and complexity of
state government in recent years; and
Whereas, The executive and legislative branches of the state
government have an obligation to be informed regarding the assets
available to provide services to the residents of West Virginia;
and
Whereas, The Senate is desirous in obtaining information of
this nature from aforementioned agencies, boards, commissions and
departments, without the implementation of legislation, ifpossible; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate formally requests that the directors of the
agencies, boards, commissions and departments of the state of
West Virginia are to submit to the chairman of the Finance
committee, within twenty days of adoption of this resolution, an
accounting of all moneys, amounts of same, location and source of
said moneys, and their designated or anticipated purpose; and, be
it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to
forward a copy of this resolution to the directors of all
agencies, boards, commissions and departments of the state of
West Virginia.
